About me
Hi there! My name is Samantha, and I am the founder of Psyche's Secrets. I run the past life regression hypnotherapy sessions here at Psyche's Secrets.
I have a diploma in Past Life Regression Hypnotherapy, and aim to provide a warm and inclusive space for all. As a trans woman, I know how scary it can be to reach out to others when you feel different or persecuted. That is why I want to make this space as safe for everyone as possible.
If you're curious, you can find my full story below. I hope to meet you soon!
My Story
I started down this path way back in 2013. I had just finished school and was about to enter into Sixth Form college; I still had no idea what I wanted to do with my life, but I was very aware of the expectations placed on me by others and society. Namely, that you leave school, go to university, and get a good job. As I was perusing the list of subjects that I could choose to study, I noticed Psychology. It was as if I had a brainwave! I realised, there and then, that I wanted to be a psychotherapist; after all, why wouldn't I? The subject matter is interesting, and who doesn't want to help people?
This (admittedly sudden) decision set the course for the next 13 years of my life. I (in all honesty, barely) passed the course and went to university, where I studied a BSc in Psychology & Counselling and then straight afterwards an MSc in Forensic Psychology--again, because I didn't know what to do with my life. I then began working at The Priory, an inpatient psychiatric hospital near where I lived, as a Healthcare Assistant on the wards.
After about three years of working there (including a one year stint as an Occupational Therapy Assistant), I was thoroughly decided that a career at The Priory was not for me. It was then that I decided to take the next step in my training, and finally apply for a masters degree in Psychotherapy. I began studying an MA in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, and moved to working in the NHS as a Mental Health Support Worker. I gave the masters a good try, but try as I might, it really wasn't right for me. I found the course to be too stressful and too demanding, and it began to significantly affect my mental health; I was even placed on anti-depressants.
Eventually, after interrupting my studies for a year, beginning my transition (oh yes, that was thrown into the mix as well) and trying again, I decided that it really was too much, and just wasn't healthy for me. I decided to withdraw from the course.
However, it wasn't all doom and gloom.
The hardship I endured forced me to engage more deeply with my spirituality, as an escape and a wellness exercise. I started with guided meditations on YouTube, and met my spirit guides, at the recommendation of my therapist at the time. This was just the beginning, and before I knew it, I was exploring my past lives. I learnt who I used to be, the lessons that I learnt in those lives, and the purpose of my life here, now.
I had never felt so passionate about something before, and realised that I could use this to help others who feel lost and hopeless like I did. That is what led me to pursuing a diploma in Past Life Regression Hypnotherapy, and to creating this website. I hope that past life regression can help you as much as it did me.
